The eAdventist.net software, created by the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists is a tool that promotes effective member management. One of several functions of the Breath of Life Seventh-day Adventist Church (BOL) Clerk Ministry is to ensure that BOL member information is maintained in eAdventist which consists of, but is not limited to, adding people/families, changing/undoing member status, and transfers of members information. BOL Clerk Ministry is committed to administering, recording, and maintaining the business of the BOL Church.
The BOL Clerk Ministry is requesting that each family in the BOL Church complete the Member Information Form to ensure that BOL eAdventist data is current with updated and accurate member information of its families, and family members/nonmembers.
DEFINITIONS
Knowledge of the following terms is essential to understanding the information required to complete the Member Information Form.
Primary Person/Contact – The primary person/contact should be a member of the BOL church and is the “go to” person for all communication within a family or household. Homes where separate families reside within the home may have more than one primary person/contact. Each primary person/contact is requested to complete the Member Information Form for his/her family, to ensure that magazine subscriptions and other publications are circulated to one family within the home. For example, adult children who are the point of contact for their individual family but living with their parent(s), or a family member who is the point of contact for their dependent children or themselves.
1800 – The year entered under “Date of Birth” if the member does not want to disclose actual birth year.
Children – Children in the home of the primary person/contact who are under the age of 24 and considered as dependents of the primary person/contact.
Adult Children – Children of the primary person/contact who are 25 and older living in the home of the primary person/contact as independent. Note: Adult children have the option to determine if their parents are their primary person/contact for information and/or publications.
Other – Family members/nonmembers living in the home of the primary person/contact who are under the care or responsibility of the primary person/contact. For example, adult children Breath of Life Seventh-day Adventist Church Member Information Instruction Guide, June 2020 Page 2 of 2
who are the caregivers of their parent(s) living in the home. The parent(s) in this example should be identified as “Other”.
“Other” appears as an option after all children, or no children have been identified by the primary person/contact. If more than 6 children are listed in a family, continue adding children under the “Other” option page.
If you have questions on how to complete the Member Information Form, please email the BOL Clerk Ministry at clerk@bolchurchmd.org.
